Amie started her first business at the age of 19 years which involved directing and promoting gymnastics clubs in schools, around the Surrey and Kent regions, this expanded rapidly and is still going from strength to strength as we speak. From here Amie soon moved on to opening her second business in 2007, called J'amies Gymnastics Academy.
When Amie was 3 years old her mum put her into gymnastics and ever since that day has never stopped. Amie had such a huge passion for it, and it was the only thing she enjoyed doing. At the age of 14 years she stopped training and began her coaching career in various clubs, and it wasn’t until she was 17 years old that she was soon scouted by Sutton School of Gymnastics, which was one of the most prestigious elite gymnastics clubs in the country at that time. It was here Amie coached with national and international coaches to produce national champions. To this day Amie will always thank Lia Borrutzu and Simon Moore who taught her everything she knows.
At Sutton School of Gymnastics was when Amie met her husband James McGranaghan (Co-Director) and from here is when they began their life together as a couple and business partners.
I was always told that a career in gymnastics would never work, and that I should go to university or get a proper job. I ignored this and went with what I knew I could perform best at, and enjoyed doing, and to this day I could say I am the youngest coach and business woman to ever revolutionise gymnastics as a business and make a living.
